What Causes Pain And Swelling At Lower Quadrant After C Section?
Induration due to healing
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I read your query and I understand your concerns about pain and swelling in right lower quadrant.
Following is my reply:
1) Right lower quadrant mild swelling with stretching pain is normal and physiological due to healing mechanism that could be occurring.
2) This happens when there is induration of tissues in lower abdomen and this leads to hardening of tissues around this area which appears as swelling.
3) I request you to send me a picture if possible so that I am able to see the amount of swelling and associated changes in the area.
4) Such swelling is unlikely to be infection and could only be induration of wound healing.
5) Hence if it is not very much painful and swelling is minimum, you can ignore it.
Let me know if you have anymore questions.
