What Causes Pain At The Dorsum Of The Foot?
Question: my foot is tender and swollen this morning...mainly on the top in the center of the foot-over the arch. It hurts to put weight on it. I soaked it in epsom salts and have heat on it, but it is not improving.

Hello, I have studied your case. Pain at dorsum of foot without any injury or fall is usually due to tenosynovitis. In this condition there is pain at movement and on pressing. I have following suggestions for you :
1. Apply ice over dorsum of feet and not hot water.
2. Compression bandage can be applied.
3. Take tablet Ibuprofen 400 mg one to two daily after food for next 2-3 days.
4. avoid walking too much for three days.
