Posted on Mon, 13 Apr 2015
Question: I HAVE PAIN BEHIND MY KNEE, CAN'T STRAIGHTEN IT OUT, IF I SIT TO LONG I HAVE TO WARM IT UP AND IT GETS A LITTLE BETTER. RECENTLY I DID AN AROBIC JAZZERCISE CHALLENGE OF 31 DAYS OUT OF 35 DAYS, THE CLASS WAS A HOUR A DAY. TWO DAYS LATER I WENT ON A TRIP THAT REQUIRED MILES OF WALKING AT A XXXXXXX RODEO. THAT'S WHEN IT GOT WORSE. I'M PUTTING HOT AND COLD COMPRESSES ON IT. NOT SURE IF THATS RIGHT. THANKS, CAROLE

I have gone through your question in detail and understand your concern. You are having probably osteoarthritis of knee as it is common in your age.It can be confirmed by x rays.Symptoms has been increased by excessive walking . Now treatment is rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen. Cold and hot compressions are right and helpful. Glucosamine is helpful.
