What Causes Pain In Esophagus After An Injury?

Question: My daughter got hit in her nose by a soccer ball and her nose was bleeding. She felt blood going down her throat. Only a little blood came out of her nose. She had an upset stomach but I gave her soda and she felt better. She is now feeling pain in her esophagus and is complaining she can feel her heart beating. I am concerned about that. What could it be?
Brief Answer:
please meet your doctor
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Blood is an irritant to the stomach and causes a lot of acidity, which may causing the pain in her esophagus, another possibility may be due to trauma to the esophagus directly by the soccer ball, but this is very rare.
Whenever there is more blood loss, the heart beat will be increased and it can be felt, this may the case in your daughter and you must meet a doctor to check if she is still bleeding and to assess how much she has bled.
Please don't delay and meet the doctor.
Take care.
