What Causes Pain In Hip, Upper Leg And Groin Area?
Question: My hip and upper leg/groin area has been hurting for several months. I have not taken a fall. I am a 62 white female.

if someone with your symptoms comes to my office i'd do a clinical examination and then rule out the following depending on the findings in examination:
1. femoral hernia, to be examined by surgeon
2. Arthrosis of hip, to be ruled out by x ray of the hip
3. Lower back problem, to be ruled out by x ray of lower spine
