Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. I understand you must be very scare about these symptoms. My immediate thinking is that your suspicion for a possible deep venous thrombosis is high as the symptoms are described in a way that depicts this scenario. However, I am pretty sure that this is not the case. If this is your fear, please relax and see below.

Your symptoms are more suggestive of a possible muscle injury. I will recommend that you stop adopting these positions that provoke and aggravate the pain as this only slows down healing. Do you think you right calf is swollen, warmer and more reddish than the left? If these are a no, then this is further information that clearly keeps a possible thrombosis out of the picture.

For now, I will suggest that you use ibuprofen and Tylenol as directed by your pharmacist to control this pain. Should you observe any swelling, redness and warmness on touching, see medical consultation as this could probably represent something else like soft tissue infections.

In all, this is not suggestive of a deep venous thrombosis. I will stick to a muscle injury now and manage with rest and pain medications. Should symptoms persist or new symptoms set in, I recommend you seek consultation and examination. Your primary care doctor would be able to do this.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Please, feel free to ask for more information and precision should need be. Thank you so much for using our services.
