Question: so the dr has eleminated the possible tie of it being my kidneys or kidney stones. So we are now looking to get an MRI to see what's going on. I also have meds for a possible UTI
Brief Answer:
There may be an associated UTI.
Detailed Answer:
The classical history you have provided fits well into the nerve element.
You certainly can have an added urinary tract infection.
Have you got any symptoms related to the urinary tract infections (UTI) like burning urinating, frequency, fever and chills or tested the urine showing urinary tract infection?
If so, please continue that treatment too.
Also take plenty of oral fluids .
Write back to me if you have any further queries

the dr. did say i had a urinary tract infection, it hurts to stand up when I go urinate, but not when I pee. just alot of pain in my right leg and back. yes, I do go to the bathroom more than normal. I'm taking antibiotics for this as well. the only time I'm not hurting is when I'm laying down. sitting or standing is extremely painful to the point I can't even operate a vehicle due to the pain.
Brief Answer:
Continue antibiotic
Detailed Answer:
Thank for your feedback.
As said earlier, you can have associated/ concurrent UTI, please continue medicines for this too.
No pain in laying down and increase on sitting or standing indicates the nerve pathology.
Get an MRI of the thoraco-lumber area done ASAP and consult a Physiotherapist.
