What Causes Pain In Scalp And Neck?
Question: Hi
Sorry I wrote the information in the first part of the website. Today I started to experience a sharp stabbing pain on the top right side of my scalp/head. When I move my neck to the right and move my right eye up to the right and down, the pain intensifies. I have had this happen before and under the care of a neurologist but they could not ascertain the cause of the pain. It finally went away 6 months later. Tylenol and extra strength pain killers do not provide any relief.
I have SLE, Fibromyalgia, Lupus Anticoagulant Syndrome, 2 PE's. Please advise what could possibly be the issue and next steps. Thank you
Brief Answer:
Spondylosis or Migraine. MRI of head and neck next
Detailed Answer:
Hi, no doubt you have an extensive set of medical problems.
The kind of problem you are suffering may be a part of cervical spondylosis and cervical migraine. Did you get evaluated for it by your primary or Neurologist? If not I think you should approach either of them and may be an MRI head and neck.
I think that is the best investigation of choice. If you have a choice you get to any Radiology centre and get an MRI of head and neck and see a local Neurologist.
