What Causes Pain In Scalp Just Behind Right Ear?
Question: I have scalp pain just behind & above my right ear. XXXXXXX XXXXXXX February 15, 2015 for the past few weeks I have had a constant allergy infection being treated by my primary care Dr. I have been taking antibiotics and allergy meds after getting over the that for the last week I've what seems like a sore throat on the right side of my throat and my jaw seems sore right up behind the ear where the pain starts in my scalp about the size of my fist. In the past year I have had a chronic stiff neck which has gotten better after I got over the allergy infection. some years ago (5) I was diagnosed with shingles that centered all over my head with the same pain I am experiencing now. what do you think ? Since you are having scalp pain just behind and above your right ear i would advise you to apply buprenorphine 5 mg transdermal patch.
You can apply one patch to a dry, non-irritated, non-hairy area of your skin on your upper body such as your chest, upper back, or the outside of your arms.
Leave it in place for seven days and then remove it and replace it with a new patch, but apply the replacement patch to a different area of skin on your upper body.
Avoid using the area from where you have removed the patch for at least three weeks. Continue to replace your patches once a week, on the same day of the week.
I will also advise you to do an MRI of the head and neck region.
