What Causes Pain In Sternum, Below Rib Cage And Back?

Question: I have level 7 -8 pain for the last 2 days. in the sternum area, below the rib cage and in my back.
ER doctors say I have a UTI. it doesn't feel like that. Feels like pancreas, but they say no.

There's a wide variety of causes of abdomenal pain that goes to the back. Many of them are quite serious. Generally a diagnostic study to look at what might be causing it would be done (cat scan of abdomen; possibly an MRI). Blood tests can make pancreatitis very unlikely. Abdomenal aortic aneursym needs a study to look for it.
