What Causes Pain Near Kidney Area After Kidney Stone Removal?

Question: Hello, about 4 months ago I had a kidney stone that was stuck for two weeks in the ureter tube. They removed the stone( 4 cm) and I had a stent for two weeks, then they took the stent out. Here I am 4 months later with the same pain in my kidney as I had with the stone but not as bad. 0-10 probably a 5. It comes and goes everyday but does seem to be more frequent with activity. I was told I have two more stones in that kidney around 3cm in size. I have had cat scans, urine tests, x-rays, and nothing shows up other than the two stones sitting in the kidney. Why am I still having this pain?
Brief Answer:
could be due to stones in kidney
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic .
The pain which you are getting now is probably due to the left out stones in the kidney or one more possibility is remnant of that ureteric stone which was stented or due to narrowing of ureter due to the trauma caused by stent.
I suggest you to consult your urologist and discuss regarding the pain and further management.
Hope I have answered your query . If any further queries are there I would love to help.
