What Causes Pain Radiating To Left Arm And From Buttocks To Knees?

default
Posted on Thu, 2 Apr 2015
Question: My husband has light pain radiating down his left arm, as well as the same pain from buttocks to knees. He has no chest back or jaw pain or dizziness.. I am not next to him as he is at work. He has done a fair deal of heavy lifting late yesterday. He is 44 years old has had gastric bypass and from 519 he is down to 270 pounds. Had a clear heart catch and work up less than two years ago. Bp is normal as is pulse. He is concerned if this could be something to worry about. Any thoughts?

Brief Answer:
you may need investigation

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I have read your query.
Your husband will need further assistance and investigation.
As there is obvious history of doing heavy work possibility of muscle spasm comes first.
I will advise you muscle relaxant and neurotropic medication like methylcobalamine.
You can start them consulting your doctor.
Physiotherapy like IFT And TENS will help you.
Another possibility of cardiac origin of pain as pain is radiating to left arm.
clinical examination and investigation like ecg and MRI will help in diagnosis.
Weight reduction in future will help to avoid recurrence.
I hope I have answered your questions. If you have further questions please feel free to contact us. I will be happy to answer. Take care.
