What Causes Pain Under The Right Rib Cage?
Question: Want to know about pain in right side rib area and some on left side that got extremely bad on January 4th. Several tests thinking I had lever mets and thousands of dollars later I am still not confident in what is causing my pain and thinking I have stage 4 cancer. Have had US, CT, and contrast MRI all done with multiple bloodwork. Just can't get cancer out of my head although being told this last MRI is the best test I could of had. Hard for me to believe I would have that many hemangiomas and cysts at only 48.
Brief Answer:
Hello. A biopsy will be definitive
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. So tou have a long standing disease which looks like hemangioma with some having solid components.
Only other condition which i can think of is a low grade carcinoid tumor or very rarely a low grade lymphoma which can remain stable for years together. I wonder whether somebody attempted a needle biopsy or not because that will be confirmative.
Pain can be there at times due to stretching of liver lesion.
Hope you understand. You can get a biopsy done.
Thanks

the head surgeon would not do biopsy because he said in his opinion it was definitely a hemangioma and bleeding factors....does this sound reasonable of him?
Brief Answer:
A second opinion can be taken from radiologist
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. In that case, a second opinion can be taken from a radiologist and a less invasive procedure called fnac can be done.
Thanks and regards
