What Causes Painful Back With Normal X Ray?

Question: My rightside at the back hurts everyday did X-ray found nothing my job has a lot of lifting the pain comes down in the right hip sometimes 24 hours pain took alive goes away and comes back have high colerteral

After going through your query I think you may be suffering from chronic simple backache.

Its causes can be mainly two
1.Looking to your job and your age ,its cause can be continuous muscular strains of job.
2.Possibility of weakness of bones and muscles of spine.

Treatment of simple backache is

1.Regular back exercises to strengthen back

2.Avoid continuous muscular strains,take rest in between to give rest to muscles.

3.Analgesics whenever you have pain, which you already taking.

4.Supplementation of vitamin D3,if it is low(by serum vitamin D level). Vitamin D3 deficiency is important cause of simple backache.

5.Supplementation with Vitamin B complex and C to improve general health.

Another important cause of backache is lumbar spondylosis but you said X-ray found nothing, so it got excluded.

It seems to me simple backache but MRI lumbar spine may be done to exclude rare causes.To know causes related to hip such as hip osteoarthritis X-ray pelvis with both hips-AP VIEW may be done.
