What Causes Painful Breasts, Abdominal Twitching And Flaky Skin Around Neck?
Question: Hello, I have a few extra symptoms and was wondering if they could be related to the cyst on my thyroid. They have not yet did a biopsy on the cyst yet. I have had painful breasts, a pulling and tickling sensation in my upper and lower abdomen, and itching around my torso, neck/ear skin flaking. I also have endometriosis but that has been controlled by depo provera in a dose to pseudo menopause, so I haven't had a period in 13 years. So the painful breasts (and some cramping) should not be happening. Could all of this be related to the thyroid?
Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be due to thyroid cyst
Detailed Answer:
Good day,
Noted your concern.
The symptoms which you described is very unlikely to be related to the thyroid cyst. I would be happy if you could provide the last thyroid blood tests ( TSH and Free T4). Another possible reason for your symptoms may be from Fibromyalgia or vitamin D deficiency. May i suggest the following test.
1) CBC, ESR
2) TSH
3) Vitamin D, Serum calcium, albumin, alkaline phosphatase.
Could you also provide the last thyroid ultrasound scan report ?

Binu
