Question: Hi Doctor,

I have a painful swelling between the anus and scrotum and it is becoming painful to walk. The swelling has made its way to the left side of the pelvis. Swelling is getting worse and so is the pain. Urination is normal and no fever. What should I do.

Brief Answer:
It seems like a Perianal abscess.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Health Care Magic and Thank you for your question.
It seems like a Perianal abscess or an infection in that area. Do you have any fever or feeling of warmth in the body or burning in your urine. You should get it examined by a Surgeon soonest to know exactly. It would be quite difficult to know without examining the area.
You would probably require a course of antibiotics for at least 7 days and if there is pus formation then it would require a small surgery to drain the pus.
Do get yourself examined and let me know if I can advice you further.
Take care and do let me know if there are queries on this issue.

Brief Answer:
Please get examined.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your answer.
That is good to know.
But please see a Surgeon who can examine you and start antibiotics.
Or start Tab Augmentin 625mg thrice a day and Tab Tinidazole 500mg twice a day for 10 days. This will help you. And for the pain take Tab Diclofenac or Tab Ibuprofen on full stomach twice a day.
Take care,
