What Causes Painful Urination, Redness And Irritation At The Penis Tip?

default
Posted on Tue, 26 Jul 2016
Question: I am a 30 year old male. A couple of weeks ago, while urinating, I had a sharp razorblade-like plain at the tip of my penis. The opening of my penis seemed a bit red, and irritated. The next day the pain while urinating subsided and was not nearly as bad as the first day, the redness was also gone. I don't have any other symptoms, rash, discharge etc. Since then, some days would be betters and others it would bother me a bit more, but never as bad as that first day. I am not sexually active, therefore I know it could not be an STD. This kind of pain has never happened to me before. I am just looking for an idea of what could be wrong. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your answer! I am not diabetic, to answer your question. Is there anything causing this condition specifically that maybe i should watch out for in the future. As i mentioned in the original question, its kind of scared me just because it was not something i've experienced before, and was wondering what could have caused it?
