Question: I have been having palpatations of the heart and mild discomfort pain on my back. I have a pacemaker and Ive had the discomfort for about a week. I'm a female Hispanic age 56.

Get a EKG done.

Hello,

Check your pulse at time of palpitations and even at regular interval.Keep a record of it.You can do it for few hours.

Also getting a EKG would be advisable.

Since this has been going for a week, doesn't look like mere pulled muscle.

I think you should see your cardiologist sooner.

Keep watch on symptoms like easy tiredness, breathlessness while lying down, disorientation, headache, swollen limbs, dizziness, heaviness in chest and chest pain.

Avoid any undue physical activity till then and also have someone to watch on you still you see doctor.
