Panic attack means episode of anxiety symptoms. Symptoms include palpitation, sweating, tremors, choking sensation, difficulty in breathing, cooling of body and so on. These symptoms last for approximately 15 to 30 minutes. Person may feel that he or she may die. This anxiety attack is called panic attack and it generally occurs in psychiatric disorders. When these attacks are frequent it is called panic disorder. Panic attacks may be related to some stress or without stress also.
Deep breathing technique or mouth dissolving anti anxiety medicines help to subside panic attack fast. To prevent frequent attacks SSRI medicines or CBT - Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is useful.
