Brief Answer:
This hematoma should be drained if easily accessible to aspiration!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this hematoma that developed after surgery. With time, this hematoma would be resorbed by the body unless bleeding is continued. However, we need to manage the pains and discomfort caused by this collection. Pain medications would offer relief and need to be taken for long. The size of 8cm is big and if possible should be drained using a large bore needle under ultrasound guidance. This would offer the best one time fix to this.

What medications are you taking? If the drugs are causing too much pains and draining is not a possibility, I will suggest that you get the medications changed to a new class of pain medications void of such side effects. Ask your doctor about this.

I hope this helps. I wish you well and thank you so much for using our services. I wish you well and hope this provides enough information for you to act on. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
