What Causes Persistent Headache?
This refers to my uncle who was getting treated for Cancer and later on chemo treatment he complained of having headaches.
On investigation it was found that he has a blood clot in one of his brain nerve and in some time he has stopped his normal activities. He is just breathing and doctor has further recognised that the swelling is increasing and blood needs to get a passage to get released. He has suggested for a brain surgery and has aksed us to take chances.
Your opinion please. Reports are as attached
Can you please attach the brain scan reports?
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for posting your query.
I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and I would try my best to help you.
I have noted your uncle's clinical details. Based on this, he seems to have suffered a brain stroke with increase in swelling now. I can give a better opinion if you can attach his brain CT or MRI scan report.
I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.
Wishing you good health,

Surgery is to save his life.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back and attaching the treatment summary so far. As per the reports, he has suffered clotting of blood in the brain and increased brain swelling. Surgery can be life-saving, as there is a risk to life due to increased brain swelling.
However, the ultimate chances of recovery would depend on how successfully the blood cancer is treated.
Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
