Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. It would be useful if you could upload a close up image of your tongue.
2. If there are no symptoms, the most likely conditions are 'Geographic Tongue' if the pink area is asymmetrical or 'Median Rhomboid Glossitis' if symmetrical. Other causes are rare.
3. Though there is no need to rush to a doctor, you may plan a routine visit. Direct examination will help narrow down the cause. These are benign conditions.
4. The treatment usually consists of anti-fungal, anti-allergic, anti-reflux , steroid, anti-anxiety medications and multivitamins. Local application creams may help.
If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Hi,
Thank you for writing back.
1. From the attached image, it appears to be a glossitis. The margins of the thogue appear scalloped.
2. However frightening the medical terms may be, they are benign and common conditions and hence do not get scared. These are not serious diseases. In fact many of these conditions require no treatment.
3. As mentioned above the best way is to get it examined and take medication as described above.
If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Hi,
Thank you for writing back.
1. You may get examined by a Dentist or an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) Specialist.
2. You may start with an anti-allergic such as Allegra-M once a day, a multi-vitamin with Zinc such as Becosules Z and an anti-acidity medication such as Razo 20 mg once a day (half an hour before breakfast). You may continue with your mouthwash. Take Ibuprofen (after meals) only if you have pain (otherwise it may cause gastritis).
3. Check if you have eaten anything new or changes a toothpaste.
If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
