What Causes Placental Abruption During 33rd Week Of Pregnancy?

Question: i live 30 minutes from the hospital, i am 33 weeks pregnant, of i had a placental abruption while at home what are my chances of baby and i siriving if it takes us 30 minutes to the get to the hospital and let alone EMS 20 mi utes to reach my house?

Chances of baby's survival are minimal.

If it is a case of placental abruption then the chances of survival of the baby is almost nil after 30 minutes if the abruption is a major one. The baby can survive in case of a minor abruption.
In case of abruption an immediate delivery is needed to save the baby but it is often a delayed diagnosis. The baby can be saved only if delivered within 5-10 minutes in case of a major abruptio.

does an ambulance have the capacity to save a baby?

A cesarean section is needed to save the baby under such circumstances which is not possible in an ambulance.
