What Causes Poking Sensation In Upper Right Abdominal Area?

Question: I don't know how to describe it but I feel something is not right in the upper right abdomen.
I sometimes feel like something is poking me from inside. It has been with me from a very long time. I've never consulted anyone yet. Kindly advise.

Hello. Thanks for putting your query in hcm. Organs located in right side upper abdomen are liver, gallbladder, part of stomach and large intestine.

Symptoms related to each of these organs are somewhat specific. If you are having only discofort it can be either fatty liver, acid peptic disease or gallstones.

So I will suggest you to get at least ultrasound abdomen. Ultrasound itself will be almost sufficient to diagnose the problem and management accordingly.
