Question: My back, particularly my lower back, is constantly "popping" or "cracking" with the slightest activity like getting dressed in the morning. This has been going on for two to three months. Now it's getting sore. What might be the cause?

Brief Answer:
It need to be evaluated

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome
I have gone through your query.

When changes occur in the cartilage of our facet (or back) joints such as small tears or when gases escape from inside the joint capsule in can "crack.

The occasional back cracking is not a problem and is nothing to worry about. Cracking in the back is natural, but as you have mentioned it has been occurring regularly and you have mentioned it has become sore, it need to be examined. I insists on physical examination because these are not specific symptoms and it is difficult to isolate the cause based on symptoms alone.
So I would recommend you to see orthopedician for examination and further investigation.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you.
Take care.
