What Causes Pores On Penis?
It must be examined by naked eye of an expert.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXXXXX
Can you please take a clinical photograph of that ulcer or pore over glans penis and upload it So that i can have a better view.
It might be due to balanitis or balanoposthitis or trauma to the glans or genital herpes(H.simplex) or chancroid etc. This list is too long to be mentioned here.
So, it must be examined by naked eye of an expert for which you can consult general surgeon or dermatologist for proper diagnosis first.
Treatment is mainly depend upon the underlying cause.
You can go for symptomatic treatment like antiseptic cream or ointment topical application over glans to prevent super-infection with vitamin b complex and folic acid orally to hasten the healing of pores or ulcer.
Do ask me if any doubt is there.
Thanks and Regards,
Dr.Sandip kabra
These pores are only three and they don't increase in number or size. I don't have any pain either but it is really embarrassing.
My fear is it may be a STD, I am getting married this year and this bothers me a lot.
Please help me out
Seems to be genital warts.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for follow-up query.
The pore or ulcer or bump appear to be genital warts (condyloma) caused by infection with human papillomavirus (HPV).
Cryotherapy usually is very effective, especially when it is combined with a topical medication such as podophyllin or imiquimod.
A dermatologist or general surgeon is preferred to consult.
Thanks and Regards,
Is this human papillomavirus (HPV)/ genital warts a common disease or anything serious? I am very concerned and can't keep my thoughts away from this
Nothing serious.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for your follow-up query.
If it is genital warts due HPV,then there is no need to get panic because majority of this infection never cause any overt signs or symptoms and they get cleared by our immune system with the proper treatment of antiviral drugs.
The important thing is to make a confirmed diagnosis and for that you must see dermatologist.
Thanks and regards,
