What Causes Positive Pregnancy Test Despite Taking Cytotec?

Question: Hi, I took 4 cytotec holding them under my tongue when my period was less than 1 week late. I did have a positive pregnancy test, it had been 33 days since my last period. Several hours later, I inserted 4 cytotec vaginally. I had cramping and some bleeding. This was late at night, so the next morning I inserted 4 more. I had heavy bleeding and 1 large clot that was red and gelatin in texture, then bleeding went to spotting. It has been 15 days, and I still have brown spotting and fresh red bleeding lightly, only enough for a liner. However, hpt still shows positive. I took another 4 cytotec by mouth this morning, have cramps and only light bleeding. The cytotec that I used was expired in May 2016. I am worried that the test is still positive because the pills were expired and didn't work. Most of my symptoms are gone now, except positive test. Was the gelatin clot the pregnancy, or is it continued?
Brief Answer:
Ultrasound scan required
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns about abortion.
You seem to have aborted completely. Urine test will show positive for some more time.
Don't take anymore cytotec tablets. They are dangerous to health and not to be taken so frequently and continuously.
Please get an ultrasound scan done to check if pregnancy is terminated completely.
Let me know if you need anymore help.
Regards
