Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain pain above the ear slightly in front that radiates to right side of head and also having pain at times on opening the mouth can be probably due to problems related to jaw joint..
It can cause pain in jaw joint area that is infront of the ear and can radiate to the side of head that is the temple region..
It is not appearing to be due to nerve related problem..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician or an Oral Pathologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Panoromic
x-ray also known as Orthopantomogram or OPG..
It will help in ruling out the exact cause of the pain and treat you accordingly..
-As of now you can take anti -inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen and muscle relaxant like Tizanidine..
-Take soft diet..
-Avoid excessive mouth opening while yawning or laughing.
-Avoid stress as it can cause a tendency to clench the teeth that can further cause jaw pain..
-Avoid chewing chewing gums in case if you chew it frequently.
Any further queries are welcome..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.

what are the possible causes,,am scared of brain issues
Causes explained below, no brain issues..
Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome back..
Aa per your query such type of pain can occur due to causes like wearing off of the soft cushion like disc known as Articular disc that is present between the two bony ends of jaw joint..
Other cause can be Arthritic changes in the jaw joint..
Habits like teeth grinding, teeth clenching habit..
It is most probably a Bony issue and not at all brain issue..
So consulting an Oral Physician and getting proper evaluation done will help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
Hope this information helps..
Regards..
