Brief Answer:
post menopausal bleed should be investigated for endometrial cancer

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
Post menopausal bleeding should always be investigated for any evidence of endometrial hyperplasia and to rule out endometrial cancer. As you have been on estradiol tab 1mg daily since long it would have definitely cause endometrial hyperplasia and what you are experiencing now is a irregular shedding in absence of progesterone support , which is likely to be heavy.
It is important that you get an endometrial biopsy done for histopathological examination to rule out any evidence of atypical endometrial cells and endometrial cancer.
Please visit your physician soon for a complete exam and evaluation.
