What Causes Prolonged Period After Having Sex?
Question: I am 32 female. I am having sex during my period. usually my bleeding stop after few days. but this time I was having sex during my period. but now the bleeding is taking longer time to stop. is it normal? should I be anxious

Hello mam,
Prolonged period is usually unrelated to having sex during periods so there is nothing to worry.
But in case you bleed more than 7 days or this excessive amount of bleeding persists in the following periods then you should get your thyroid hormone levels and ultrasound of pelvic organs and then we can discuss them.
Till then there is not much to worry in my opinion because many females experience altered bleeding pattern after the age of 30.
