Question: I have a purple slightly raised bump, darker purple in the center, on my left labia majora. Out from it is a purple dot, then on the right labia, looks like two purple small spots. Not sexually active, in my 30's, what could it be?

Since how long it is there? About 2 weeks
-Is it painful? No, but is irritated if clothes accidentally brush against it
-Associated with itching, vaginal discharge etc. Very itchy before it came, then after it appeared itching stopped, not noticed discharge
-Can you please upload the image? Uploaded

Not very big, roundish, slightly raised, purple, darker purple in the middle, small dot on its edge, perhaps formation of another, and a small purple dot out from it, on left outside of labia majora, and then on the right outside labia majora slight purplish color, not raised, have to have bright light to see it. Never had a problem in this area before.

Brief Answer:
It can be an angioma, infected hair follicle.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

Sorry for the long delay in my response.
I have gone through your picture and symptoms and it is most likely an infected hair follicle or an angioma because at your age possibility of melanoma is quite less. Both are the benign conditions and resolve by its own.
Hot compression is also very effective.
If painful take simple pain killer after consulting your tresting doctor.
For itching you can use 2% hydrocortisone cream( after consulting with your doctor).
If not resolve in few days consult a Gynaecologist and get yourself examined and took treatment accordingly.
Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more.
Good luck.

I uploaded a better picture with better lighting, if you enlarge this one, you can see better, including the darker circle inside the circle. You can slightly see a little purple on the right labia, hardly noticeable, but in the same location as the left and both are the longest part of the labia, which kind of made me think it might have gotten rubbed. Could it be a skin irritation from clothes rubbing? Could it be malassezia? A strange yeast infection? I'm using Monostat and Sulsun Blue for the past two days, incase its a yeast/fungus, I figured it wouldn't hurt. But, you said unlikey cancer.

Brief Answer:
It can be due to folliculitis cause by rubbing, infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

Sorry for the long delay in my response.
I have gone through your pictures and in my opinion it can be folliculitis( hair infection) due to rubbing or friction by clothes, due to yeast infection or any bacterial infection.( the chances of malassezia are less).
The other possibility is clogged sweat glands.
As you are using fungal cream last 2 weeks and it still persist better to consult a Gynaecologist to confirm the diagnosis.
Precautions and treatment as we discuss before.
Purple spot is due to old blood.
The chances of melanoma are not there.
Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more questions.
Good luck.
Regards
