Brief Answer:
Normal for deep and infected wound. Will fade
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
This is normal and you need not be concerned too much about this.
I would like to explain the few things about the wound healing.
Wound healing consists for 4 stages.
Hemostasis, Inflammatory, Proliferation and Remodeling.
As your wound got infected, it took time to clear infection and thus prolongs the time of healing.
Now your wound is in the stage of Proliferation and remodeling.
During stage of proliferation, the blood vessels proliferate in the wound and give the wound a pink or purple color.
Over time, there will be some fading as the injury matures.
Hope this helps.
