What Causes Pus In Urine?
Question: I am a SCI patient (Spinal Cord Injured) and my body is paralyzed. I am on CIC (Clean Intermittent Catheterization) to empty the urine from bladder. CIC time is in every 4 hours. From last 5 days I am having fever range between 99-102. In my urine routine test report pus cells have been found. I attaching the report. Please have a look and let me know what medicines need to take and what other precautions are required?

As an Urologist,i must advise you to continue with CIC every 4hours.
Most likely, you've developed an urinary infection(UTI).
That's the reason for the fever.
The confirmatory test for this is, urine culture, which's most sensitive and accurate.
Your report of urine routine, is highly suggestive of the same.
After giving urine sample for a culture test, start an antibiotic.
Ciprofloxacin twice daily is most commonly started, till culture report is available.
If fever continues to rise,after two days of Ciprofloxacin, an injectable antibiotic will be needed. Also check blood routine, creatinine and sugar.
Drink 10-12 glasses of liquids daily.
Paracetamol tablets 8th hourly is advised, till fever subsides completely.
Once fever subsides, an ultrasound scan of abdomen is advisable.
According to reports,your doctor will advise further treatment.

Hi, I have tried Ciprofloxacin as per your advise but still having 100-102 fever. I am attaching my urine culture and blood routine report. Please have a look and advise what needs to do further as it is being more than a week I am having fever.
