What Causes Rash On Rectum?
Question: hi I got a rectal rash after a bowel movement so i used a diaper rash cream but it seem to make it worse and some Cortizone 10 it sooth the icth but did not clear the rash is this something i need to see my doctor about?

Hi
The most common cause of such a presentation is a peri anal intertrigo caused by candidal infection.
You should mix and apply canestan skin cream with cortisone cream twice a day .
Do not apply any other cream or oil over the area.
Wear cotton undergarments so as to keep the affected area clean and dry .
Use medicines regularly for a week.I am sure it will get better.
You can additionally take tablet Claritin once a day for a week to decrease the associated itching and discomfort .
