What Causes Rash Over Glans Of Penis After Intercourse?

Question: I developed this rash 2 days after sex with my girlfriend for the first time. There was some redness there before which resolved with good hygiene but after the sex (no condom) it looks like it has come back again. I have been advised it could be balanitis??? I hope that istnt an STD

Thanks for your query,based on the facts and photographs that you have posted it appears that you have developed rash over glans of your penis due to dry rough vigorous unprotected sex with your girlfriend for the first time.

This is due to allergic reaction to vaginal secretions and probably not due to STD.However get basic screening tests for STI done to be rest assured and to allay your anxiety.

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefexine along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.along with topical steroid cream like cortisone for local application twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

Please ask your girlfriend to get examined by qualified Gynaecologist and take necessary treatment if required.
