What Causes Rashes All Over Body After Bitten By Wasps?
Insect bite reaction; will resolve within a weeks time
Detailed Answer:
Hello madam.Thanks for your query.
According to me this is a insect bite reaction as you rightly mentioned.I were to suggest to-
Wash the sting site with soap and water. Apply antibiotic ointment (fusidic acitd) on the sting site.
Apply ice to the sting site and affected sites where you have blemishes to provide mild relief. Apply 20 minutes once every hour as needed. Place a cloth between the ice and skin to avoid freezing the skin.
Consider taking antihistamine such as diphenhydramine for itching and ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain relief as needed. Both are available over the counter.
Take a booster dose of Tetanus vaccine if it has been more than 10 years that you have taken your last Tetvac booster.
Consult your physician if you have severe allergic reaction and if new lesions are cropping up.
Avoid further stings by wearing protective clothing, using insect repellant, and avoiding infested areas.
Most insect stings require no additional medical care and the blemishes should subside within a weeks time.
Donot pop the blemishes. They will resolve spontaneously.Avoid wearing tight garments.
Hope this helps.Nothing to panic.Get well soon.
Regards
Dr.Praveen
