Ultrasound scan is advisable.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Have you had unprotected intercourse recently. If yes there might be a possibility of pregnancy. If no then it is irregular heavy periods. The cause can be many like fibroids or uterine dysfunction.
You will need to get a transvaginal sonography to find out the cause. Your local doctor can help you with this test.

Brief Answer:
Miscarriage is possible.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX
This can be a sign of miscarriage.
To confirm it I want you to repeat a pregnancy test with a UPT kit. It costs cheap and is available in all pharmacy. The instructions on how to use it & how to read the test is given on the Kit Box.
Also you will need a sonography after that.

Is that kit just a home pregnancy test lik from a supermarket? Im still stopping n starting bleeding and im feeling really down and upset e
Brief Answer:
Yes the home pregnancy test kit from a supermarket
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
YEs, the home pregnancy test from the supermarket MIGHT come positive now as you did it a few weeks back and it takes 4-6 weeks for it to come positive.
A better option is a transvaginal sonography as it will not only tell if its a miscarriage but also if its complete or not and also the cause.
My advise will be best to get a sonography but if it takes time then atleast a home pregnancy test will give some clues.
If you are down then all the more it indicates that it might be an miscarriage.
Also if you are very sick then please show to the nearest doctor preferably a gynecologist as soon as possible.
