What Causes Recurrent Miscarriages?

Question: I have a new question concerning my daughter. She is 29, married for one year and has already had 2 miscarriages. She lives in Florida, so I do not see her often, but from what she told me her doctors have told her either due to a low egg count or some other hormonal issues she has a very low chance of getting pregnant and carrying it to term. What would be reasons for this in an otherwise healthy young woman?

In my opinion there are different causes for miscarriages in different trimesters.
I would like to know:-
1)At how many weeks the miscarriage occurred?
2)What was the gap between two miscarriages?
3)Are her cycles regular usually?
4)Any hormonal evaluation like thyroid or any other done.
