What Causes Recurring Chest Tightness Along With Upper Body Pains?

Question: Hello I am a 27 y/o female I weigh 291 I had testing done I don't have diabetes my bp is 137/80 my cholesterol is 135 mg my triglycerides is 57 mg HDL 61 mg
LDL 63 mg my thyroid is 1.01 I been having chest tightness on and off and upper body aches my doctor said it's nothing to worry about should I be worry ? I had a lot of X-rays and ecgs my pulse is sometimes fast but at rest it's like 80 can the tightness be from anxiety ? Should I get another opinion ?

Hello

I agree with your doctor.Findings are almost normal except borderline raised systolic blood pressure.It may be due to anxiety also.You need regular monitoring of your blood pressure.It shouldn't be more than 140 mm Hg.

Other findings are normal.Serum cholesterol,triglyceride,LDL and HDL level are normal.
Most likely mentioned value of thyroid is related to TSH.It is also normal.

As investigations are normal,it is important to exclude psychological reasons of chest tightness.
You can consult psychiatrist.It may be due to functional disorder.It need proper evaluation.You may need psychological counselling.
