Question: I asked a doctor not too long ago about hard bumps on the shaft of the penis,he had given me the answer of fordyce spots wich I do have but that does not bother me as much as the bumps are not as numerous and about a 1/4 - 1/8" in size,it is like a hard mass under the skin and they somewhat go away for a month but then for non apparent reason come back,it is very concerning and embarrassing to say the least but I had blood work done and no std's found, there is no head or mark to these just large bumps

Brief Answer:
Please give details and post actual photographs if possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Male/*34 - visited a Doctor - herpes on test - but you do not have - hard bumps on the shaft of penis - not numerous - 1/4'' to 1/8'' in size - like a hard mass and go away for a month - but then for no apparent reason come back - no head or mark to these just large bumps no STDs on blood work -

Please give me the following additional information to know:
- Since when have you got this problem?
- When the lesions come, for how much time the lesions remain present?
- Any remains once they go?
- Are the lesions attached to the under-surface of the skin or the skin moves over it?
- Do you have clear photographs, as the photos helps for on-the-spot diagnosis.
- Any other information that you would like to share like using condom, reaction to condom or any thing else like lubricants and some additional relevant history.

Awaiting for your feedback on all the points please.

This has been going on for at least 2-3yrs,they can be there for up to 2months,at some of the sites it is less prominent but you can still feel a hard bump under the skin to the touch,I guess they are attached to the underside of the skin because if you pull the skin one way or the other hard enough they will move with it although it seems like the skin skids over it,it feels like it is part of the muscle under the skin is the best way I can describe it

No serial activity in the past year and no abnormal lubricants or anything like that, trying to figure out how to send a clear picture

Brief Answer:
Can be formation of fibrous tissues as you have explained.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
My thoughts after reading your additional information.
- This may be a form of Peyronie's disease wherein there is formation of a hard fibrous tissue as you have mentioned that cause the swellings you are feeling.
The body reabsorbs this tissue over time and hence goes away.
- Since the exact cause of this condition is not known, the treatment is empirical in the form of anti-inflammatory medicines and oral steroids when indicated.
Multivitamins with Lycopene helps to reduce the swelling.

I hope this answer helps you.
