What Causes Recurring Sinus Tachycardia?

Excessive psychological stress
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to HCM. I understand your concern.
There are certain physiological conditions that are associated with increased heart rate, such as physical activity, psychological stress, after consuming caffeine-containing beverages, alcohol etc. During stress, there is a spike of adrenalin (epinephrine) in the system, which, among others, has strong effect on increasing the blood pressure and the heart rate. Now, my opinion is that anxiety from stress is producing these high heart rates. Actually there is a formula, 220-age, which is considered as a normal heart rate when the organism is stressed, physically or psychologically. In your case, a heart rate of 175 beats per minute may be considered normal in cases of high physical or psychological activity. Therefore, I would suggest you not to worry about these figures. If this is worrying you in a gravity that affects your quality of life or work, medication such as propranolol (with effects both on stress and on heart rate) may be tried. If even this does not help, then a consult with a psychiatrist would be in order. On the other hand, we have all the test results of the cardiac check-up which came back normal.
I hope my answer is helpful. I am happy to help, if yoi have follow-up qestions.
Best regards,
Dr. Meriton
