What Causes Red Eruptions On Nose Inspite Of Being On Naproxin?
Question: In the last 6 months i've noticed pinpoint round red eruptions on my nose, that disappear in one to two weeks.
What could this be? Looking on line I've read that use of Naproxin, Aspirin, and Tagamet can be a cause. I'm 72 years old and I've taken Ibuprofin for joint pain for the last 10 years and Prilosec for about 5 years.
Thanks for your help

Brief Answer:
Skin eruption -possible drug side effect
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Naproxin can cause rash in the form of purpura; skin eruptions.
Aspirin and Tagamet (cimetidine)can also cause rashes.
Ibuprofen and Prilosec (omeprazole) are also known to cause rahes.
Hence to know whether any of these drugs are responsible for rash or round eruption on your nose ,you have to discontinue the drugs and restart one by one and to see which one is without any side effect of skin eruption in your case.
Alternatively eruption are unrelated to drugs and may be due to some other systemic or local cause.
