What Causes Red Marks Around The Injection Site After DPT Vaccination?

Question: My 6 weeks old son underwent vaccination on 1st Feb. Last couple of days, there are red marks/rashes around the area where the vaccination was given. Is that normal?

Thanks for posting the query,

Minute rashes for 3 to 4 days is normal with DPT vaccine. But if the rashes are severe then you should be concerned of. Wait for 2 more days if still the rashes persists then you should consult the pediatrician.


If possible upload the image of the rash, Which will help me accurate diagnosis.
