What Causes Red Rashes On Back?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Need more information.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,
This red rashes over skin of back could be due to eczema or allergic hives (urticaria) etc.
It would be helpful for me if you take a clinical photopgraph of the area over back and upload as there is feature given to right side of query page to send images,so that i have a better view in order to have diagnosis.
Do you have itching or irritation over the back?
More than any other field, in dermatology one needs to inspect with eyes what the skin condition is,how it looks, how is that redness etc
The important thing is to diagnose first rather than treatment.
You might require topical corticosteroid like beclomethasone with antihistamines (cetrizine 10 mg available over the counter) orally to reduce this redness.
Kindly get back to me with more information and pictures. So that I can guide you further.

thank you
It looks like a Erythema annulare centrifugum.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for the follow-up,
Here,It might be difficult to diagnose your skin condition without doing physical examination.
However, from the picture you uploaded, it may be a skin condition called Erythema annulare centrifugum. It may also be seborheic keratosis.
Erythema annulare centrifugum is associated with some underlying diseases such as infections (fungal or viral) or candidiasis.
This skin lesion usually clears up by itself in most of cases and do not require any treatment.
However topical corticosteroids (Tenovate or Clovate cream) with oral antihistamies (cetrizine 10 mg or allegra 120 mg twice daily available over the counter) may be helpful in reducing this redness.
These red rashes would start subsiding within 3 to 4 days of above treatment. If it does not then, I would advise you to consult your dermatologist about this so that he would assess the condition and advise appropriate treatment.
Hope this will help you.
Regards,
Dr.SandipKabra
