Suggest A Remedy For Hypertrophic Actinic Keratosis

I have atypical hypertrophic actinic keratosis on the tip of my nose. It has been there for 2 years. I have had 4 biopsies in that time. Treatments started with burning it off twice, but the NP only lightly sprayed it and it was ineffective. Next I tried 2 rounds of fluoruracil, then picato, then aldara. All were ineffective. My dermatologist says to just keep it moist and maybe it will resolve itself. However, it is getting worse, so I tried black salve. It was very destructive so I was afraid to continue and the hole it left has not just filled back up with hypertrophic tissue. Since the diagnosis does not allow Mohs, I think canabis oil is probably the best solution, but it is not availalbe to me. . I would appreciate any recommendations or the name of a hypertrophic actinic keratosis specialist in Ohio.

Hi,

Actinic keratosis is a precancerous skin disease. So, the perfect treatment should done to remove it completely. If local remedies have failed, I would recommend you to for surgery. Consult the dermato surgeon or plastic surgeon. After thorough examination and investigations, he may remove it by excisions surgery under local anaesthesia.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
