What Causes Redness And Itchy Sore Spot Behind Ear?
Question: My grandaughter complained of a sore spot behind her ear 2 days ago. Last night she it ices and hurts bad. She is 8. No visible bite. Thought it maybe a zit under skin or boil. This morning she woke up redness had spread and now a similar red bump on face by chin. See pics attached. It's hot

I read carefully your question and saw the reports.
I agree with my colleague...it looks like celulitis, which can be a dangerous infection if not untreated with the proper antibiotics.
Your grandaughter might have scratched the skin somewhere, or has a wound nearby, that in case of low imunity gets infected and the infection spreads in the soft tissue, causing cellulitis.
I would recommend to go to the local doctor so he can give a cure with antibiotics.
Apply cold compreses on it to help with the hot and pain.
With a treatment of 5-7 days she should be ok, but you need to take her to the doctor as soon as possible because the infection may spread.
