What Causes Redness And Swelling In The Labia Minora?

Question: My labia minora is red and swollen and is very painful when urine touches the skin. I thought that it was due to dryness. This is going for last three months. I have used several creams, olive oil, neosporin but nothing seems to work.
Brief Answer:
Vaginal infection should be ruled out
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Redness and swelling in the labia minora can be due to vaginal infection, allergy due to change of soap or undergarments.
I will suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined internally to rule out any vaginal infection and get appropriate treatment.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

The redness is on the left side, but not on the right side of Labia Minora. Can that be an infection? Before I consult an OB/Gyn ( as it would be a few weeks before I can get an appointment)what type of ointment should I use to relieve the pain. Any suggestion?
Thank you very much for your prompt answer.
