Brief Answer:
This looks like an infection....Cellulitis!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have reviewed this information and the image attached fully. This is suggestive of a possible cellulitis. The treatment with penicillin is okay and I will suggest that you take it as prescribed. Avoid pain medications such as Ibuprofen, Naproxene, advil, Aleve, and Aspirin. In addition, also keep it raised to facilitate healing. Put an eye on the area of redness. Should it spread further, report to the doctors for further review which may warrant further aggressive attention.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
Probably not an infection!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

If this same redness is on the cheeks and back, it is most likely not related to this infection. An infection wouldn't have traveled that much unless something is not right. It may point more to an allergy and I encourage you to consider adding Benadryl to your drugs.

I wish you well.

Brief Answer:
Yes, continue the penicilin!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I will say continue with the penicillin as prescribed. Allergies rarely require testing except they become troublesome and we want to identify the exact cause. We may only consider that if you fail to improve on treatment. Hope you added Benadryl as recommended.

I wish you well.
