Brief Answer:
Be patient and continue with the treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us.

I am dr. kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.

In general it takes 6 to 12 months to see results. In some rare cases, longer i.e 18 months or so. I suggest you to be patient and continue with minoxidil and finasteride. However, if even after that you still believe that the results of your hair transplant do not meet your expectation, go and see your doctor.

Is finasteride or dutasteride which one is more better for hair growth?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Kakkar (11 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Dutasteride is better for regrowth but its use is not yet approved.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

finasteride is approved since 1990's for androgenetic. alopecia..it has a long history of its safety and efficacy in androgenetic alopecia. Dutasteride, though is more effective and faster acting it is not yet approved for androgenetic alopecia and it has sexual side effects like reduced libido, unlike finasteride.

Dutasteride is nevertheless used by some dermatologists in patients with androgenetic alopecia... Finasteride is my first choice.
