- Does it aggravate by eating, especially foods high in fat?
- Swollen and tender abdomen
- Nausea and vomiting
- Fever
- Increased heart rate

2. History of weight loss?
3. Is stool oily or smelly?
4. Any history of hypertension, diabetes or any other illness?
5. Did you undergo ultrasound abdomen? If yes then share report please.

I'll be looking forward for the answers to conclude discussion.

In answer to your question Dr.Rauf, I have tenderness and slight soreness in rt.abdomen,it is not swollen.Yes, I do have slight pain that radiates to my back
when I eat about anything.I have nausea when this happens then it passes,no fever or vomiting yet.My stools don't smell oily, but do smell stronger than when I
was younger. I have not noticed an increase in heart rate and I do take medication for hypertension.I have lost 20 lbs. over six weeks but I am trying to eat less,270-250lbs.I also have renal insufficientcy and leukemia(CLL)which I have checked every six months. The only tests done so far have been MRI on liver area and blood panel. Please help!!!

Brief Answer:
There is a possibility that you are suffering from Pancreatitis...

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank you for getting back to me with your answers.

A limited amount of fatty infiltrate around the liver and pancreas is normal because there is fat deposition ( known as the mesentry) along these organs. Your symptoms of abdominal pain, radiating to the back, suggest the possibility of pancreatitis.

I would suggest that you visit your local hospital / clinic / lab at once and get your Serum Amylase & Lipase levels checked to rule it. At the same time I believe that an ultrasound of the abdomen would be helpful to visualize the pancreas AND rule out the remote possibility that this is being caused by stones in your Gall Bladder.

I mentioned the Pancreatitis first since it's something that may need immediate treatment and those enzymes are the best test to rule it out along with the ultrasound. If you do have Gall Bladder stones, we can discuss what would need to be done to deal with them.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
